The Generation Lead Management companies usually have specific employees that are constantly updating these lists but due to the number of potential consumers that are on the lists, this task is virtually impossible to keep it correct at all times.

For the email aspects of the Generation Lead Management companies, they can do a mass emailing of all the email addresses that they have on their lists and they will receive rejection emails back from undeliverable email addresses and this is the way that they can weed out the email addresses that are no longer good. But by the time that they finish this email and go through all of the addresses that were not good, they have added many more email addresses and basically can turn around and do another mass emailing in order to get all of the new undeliverable email. It is a constant process that has to be done over and over again.

For the Generation Lead Management that works with the physical addresses, this is a bit more complicated because unless the person who is physically picking up their mail does not send that piece of mail back as "no such address" or "undeliverable", then there is not way for the management team to know if that address is good or not. Usually they deal with this type of mailing by just selling these physical addresses to the marketing firms, businesses, and companies and letting them deal with the cost and time it takes to mail out this direct mail.

The people that buy these physical address lists from the Generation Lead Management companies will usually put a specific number on each address and only mail out that certain number of mailings to that specific address and if no reply has been made within that certain number, then they may or may not remove the name from the list.

Generation Lead Management is an ongoing process and is never fool proof because there is just no way to keep up with the constant moving and changing aspects of the internet and people's lives. There are constantly new people visiting the internet and constant new websites that being created on the internet that people are visiting and either voluntarily inputting their information into the website or the spyware and adware is grabbing new information from the public computers that they were installed on.
